Terms and conditions.

1. Booking Lessons

By booking lessons with Complete Driving Tuition (“CDT”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Lessons are subject to instructor availability and are confirmed once agreed by both the instructor and pupil.

2. Lesson Fees

  • Lesson fees must be paid in advance unless otherwise agreed.

  • Prices may be amended at any time. Existing block bookings already paid for will be honoured at the price paid.

  • Lessons are non-transferable unless agreed by CDT.

3. Block Bookings

  • Block bookings offer a discounted rate and must be paid in full before the first lesson.

  • Any unused lessons remain valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • Refunds for unused hours will normally be calculated at the standard hourly lesson rate rather than the discounted block booking rate.

  • CDT reserves the right to refuse or cancel future lessons if there has been inappropriate behaviour or repeated breaches of these Terms.

4. Cancellations

  • At least 48 hours’ notice must be given if you wish to cancel or rearrange a lesson.

  • Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.

  • If your instructor needs to cancel a lesson, an alternative appointment will be offered as soon as reasonably possible.

  • CDT is not responsible for any costs incurred as a result of cancelled lessons.

5. Late Arrival

If you are late for your lesson, your lesson will still finish at the agreed time where another lesson is scheduled afterwards.

If your instructor is delayed, your lesson will either be extended where possible or the lost time will be rearranged.

6. Fitness to Drive

You must:

  • Hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence.

  • Produce your licence if requested.

  • Inform your instructor of any medical condition, medication, injury or change in circumstances that could affect your ability to drive safely.

  • Wear suitable footwear for driving.

Your instructor may refuse to conduct a lesson if they believe you are:

  • Under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Too tired or unwell to drive safely.

  • Not fit to drive for any other reason.

The full lesson fee may still be payable in these circumstances.

7. Practical Driving Tests

CDT cannot guarantee that a pupil will be ready for their practical driving test by any particular date.

Your instructor will advise when they believe you have reached the required standard.

Use of the instructor’s vehicle for a practical test is entirely at the instructor’s discretion and may be refused if they believe:

  • It would be unsafe.

  • The pupil is unlikely to drive safely.

  • The vehicle may be put at unnecessary risk.

8. Driving Test Cancellations

If the DVSA cancels or rearranges your test, CDT cannot accept responsibility for any financial losses or additional lesson costs.

9. Use of Dash Cameras

CDT vehicles may be fitted with internal and external dash cameras for:

  • Safety.

  • Insurance purposes.

  • Training and quality assurance.

  • Social media or educational content.

Video footage used publicly will not identify pupils without their prior consent.

10. Social Media Consent

From time to time CDT may ask permission to record or publish lesson footage.

Consent is entirely voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time before publication.

Refusing consent will not affect your driving lessons in any way.

11. Behaviour

CDT has a zero-tolerance policy towards:

  • Abuse.

  • Aggressive behaviour.

  • Threatening behaviour.

  • Discrimination.

  • Harassment.

Lessons may be terminated immediately if such behaviour occurs, with no refund.

12. Vehicle Care

Pupils are expected to treat the tuition vehicle with reasonable care.

Where damage is caused through deliberate or reckless behaviour, CDT reserves the right to recover repair costs where legally entitled to do so.

13. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers:

  • Are non-refundable.

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Are valid for 12 months unless otherwise stated.

14. Refunds

Refund requests should be made in writing.

Where a refund is due:

  • Completed lessons will be charged at the applicable standard lesson rate.

  • Any remaining balance will be refunded within a reasonable period using the original payment method where possible.

15. Personal Information

CDT will only use your personal information for providing driving tuition, managing bookings and complying with legal obligations.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

16. Liability

While every effort is made to provide lessons safely and professionally, CDT accepts no responsibility for losses arising from events outside its reasonable control, including:

  • Traffic delays.

  • Mechanical breakdowns.

  • Severe weather.

  • DVSA cancellations.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

17. Changes to These Terms

CDT may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always apply to future bookings and will be made available on request or via our website.

18. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
